Charlene’s landscape paintings are intimate, meditative snapshots of wilderness areas in remote places of California and the west. Inspired by the transience glow of light and color, her paintings are studies of presence and perception, and the ever-changing nature of order, chaos, and transformation. She captures the essence and experience of a place, vs creating a literal representation.
